Very modern hotel. My room was very spacious with a large bed (king size bed; room was classified as a double). The outside wall was all windows, with a great view of Kalemegdan (old fort that protected Belgrade centuries ago). Breakfast was included in the room price, and it was great - many different options. Overall, a great option for business and family travelers.
I loved the design of the hotel, as well as the cosy feeling of the restaurant area and the lobby area. The food of the restaurant was amazing, for me Mama Shelter is one of the best places to eat in Belgrade. The staff is also very welcoming and friendly.
About the rooms, I would say I expected to be a bit more spacious, I stayed in a Big Mama, but nevertheless comfort of the bed was at maximum.
It is situated inside a mall on the top floor, located near the Belgrade Fortress. Very funky and welcoming interiors; love the artwork and interiors of the place. Amazing rooms and size of the room is good as well. Loved the breakfast they serve. And the bar was super amazing. Lovely outdoor seating on the rooftop giving a beautiful sunset view. The night is mostly filled with great music by a live band performance and a fun vibe. The staff is warm and welcoming though English is not really their first language so might take some effort in communication.
This is my 7th time staying at Mama Shelter Belgrade.. and ti be honest i was dissapointed that that they have never acknowledge that i am a returning guest..
i usally book this hotel because they have a good bar en resturant and it vibrant..
i stayed 3 nights and from 10am the resturant was closed due to a private event.
And on top of that i couldent even order coffe or food to my room.. i had to order from Wolt insteed..
the checkout was a horror..
since they dont appricate a returning guest i wont return..
